Rowley Bridleway No 13 And Woodmansey Bridleway No 30 - Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians

(ROWLEY BRIDLEWAY NO 13 AND WOODMANSEY BRIDLEWAY NO 30) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2026

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from proceeding whether on foot, pedal cycle or on horseback along Rowley Bridleway No 13 and Woodmansey Bridleway No 30.

The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed construction works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.

It was anticipated that the works would be completed within six months. However, the works have not yet been completed and approval has been received from the Secretary of State for Transport for an extension of the Order until 29 March 2027 or until completion of the works, whichever is the sooner. There is no alternative route available for persons affected by the Order.

The extension of the Order will commence 30 September 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
