Gransmoor Road, Gransmoor - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
GRANSMOOR ROAD, GRANSMOOR

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Gransmoor Road, Gransmoor from its junction of Main
Road ending at its junction with Gransmoor Lodge
access road commencing 19 October 2026 at 07.30
hours until 22 October 2026 at 17.00 hours to allow
for carriageway patching works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
within four days. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the road closure will be via Gransmoor
Road, Fisher Lane, New Cut, Bridlington Road, Moor
Lane, Bridlington Bay Road, Main Road, Station Road,
Outgates, Moor Lane and Main Road, Harpham CP,
Barmston CP, Ulrome CP, Burton Agnes CP, Carnaby CP,
East Wolds and Coastal Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, emergency
vehicles and pedestrians.
