The Council has made the Borough of Telford & Wrekin
Tank Bank, Newport (One-Way Traffic) Order 2026 under section 14(1) and Part IV Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”). The Order is to be made in accordance with section 14(1) (b) of the Act because of a likelihood of danger to the public whilst cable reinforcement works takes place. The effect of the Order will be to temporarily reverse the provisions in Mapped Moving Traffic Prohibitions, Restrictions and Provisions) Traffic Regulation Order 2024 to enable vehicular traffic to travel northbound for the duration of the Order. The order will become operational on 28/9/26 and will remain in force until 6/10/26.
