Notice of Proposal to Implement Raised Puffin Crossing Facility & Speed Cushions at Yew Tree Lane and Gough Road, Coseley.

NOTICE is hereby given by the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 90A and 90C of the Highways Act 1980 as amended intends to install speed cushions at the locations mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice.

This proposal consists of a Raised Puffin Crossing and Speed Cushions at locations detailed in the Schedule to this Notice and will in all respects comply with the provisions of the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999.

Reason for Proposal: To address concerns of excessive vehicle speeds and provide a safe route for pedestrians travelling to and from local Nursery and Primary Schools.

SCHEDULE

Raised Puffin Crossing on Yew Tree Lane;
For the full extent of the existing Zebra Crossing, from a point 10m northeast of its junction with Church Road, north-eastwards for a distance of 8.5m, not exceeding 75mm height.

Raised Pedestrian Crossing on Church Road;
From a point 4.5m from its junction with Yew Tree Lane, south eastwards for a distance of 6.0m, not exceeding 75mm height.

Speed Cushions;

 Opposite the boundary no’s 41 and 42 Gough Road, 2 no. adjacent speed cushions across carriageway.
 Opposite the boundary no’s 14 and 16 Yew Tree Lane, 2 no. adjacent speed cushions across carriageway.

GENERAL

 From a point 7.5m north eastwards of the boundary of nos. 32 and 34 Yew Tree Lane, 2 no. adjacent speed cushions across carriageway.
 From a point 4.7m eastwards of the eastern kerb line of Legge Lane, 2 no. adjacent speed cushions across carriageway.
