(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
MAIN STREET, ELLOUGHTON (PART)
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Main Street, Elloughton (between Brantingham Road and number 84). The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed utility and maintenance works - CCTV and robotic cutting to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by Tuesday 13 October 2026. There is no alternative route for traffic affected by this closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 12 October 2026 between 08.00 hours and 17.00 hours and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
