Enfield - Temporary Road Closures & Parking Suspensions Due To Various Works
What is happening?
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984- Section (14.1)
THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD intend to make the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.
Shaftesbury Road N18
Reason For 14(1) Order – Essential Highways Works
Operational Date And Times: At any time on 1 October 2026 on a phased basis for 14 days or until works are completed.
The General Effect Of The Order Would Be To:
Phase 1 – suspend parking between its junction with Commercial Road to outside No. 8 Shaftesbury Road on both sides of the road for approximately 62m; and
Phase 2 – suspend parking between No.5 Shaftesbury Road to its junction with Bull Lane on both sides of the road for approximately 82m.
Lonsdale Drive EN2
Reason For 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date And Times: 2 October 2026 between 08:00-18:00pm for 1 day or until works are completed.
The General Effect Of The Order Would Be To:
- Close this road and suspend parking between No’s 150 and 138/136.
Chapel Street, Gentlemans Row EN2
Reason For 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date And Times: 5 October 2026 between 08:00 – 18:00 for 1 day or until works are completed.
The General Effect Of The Order Would Be To:
Chapel Street
- Close the road between Nos. 21 and 23 and Nos. 93–99 westbound, including the entrance to and exit from the Gentleman’s Row junction; and
Gentleman’s Row
- The full extent of the mini roundabout at its junction with Holly Walk.

Reason For 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date And Times: At any time on 5 October 2026 for 7 days or until works are completed.
The Effect Of The Order Would Be To:
- Close this road and the use of the affected footway by pedestrians.
Amersham Avenue N18
Reason For 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Dates And Times: At any time on 5 October 2026 for 5 days or until works are completed.
The General Effect Of The Order Would Be To:
- Suspend parking on this road, from a point adjacent to the flank wall of No. 76, to the existing waiting restrictions at the junction with Barclay Road.
King Edwards Road N9
Reason For 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Date And Times: At any time on 5 October 2026 for 8 days or until works are completed.
The General Effect Of The Order Would Be To:
- Close this road from its junction with Hertford Road N9, westwards for approximately 30m. Alternative routes for pedestrians will be clearly signed.
Standard Road EN3
Reason For 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Dates And Times: At any time on 5 October 2026 for 4 days or until works are completed.
The General Effect Of The Order Would Be To:
- Suspend parking on this road, southwards for approximately 40m on both sides of the road.
Freston Gardens, Leys Garden EN4
Reason For 14(1) Order – Essential Highways Works
Operational Dates And Times: At any time on 5 October 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.
The General Effect Of The Order Would Be To:
Freston Gardens
- Close this road and suspend parking road between Cat Hill and Leys Gardens on both sides of the road.; and
Leys Gardens
- Close this road at its junction with Freston Gardens for approximately 10m both sides of the road.
Upton Road, Woolmer Road N18
Reason For 14(1) Order – Essential Utility Works
Operational Dates And Times: At any time on 5 October 2026 for 8 weeks or until works are completed.
The General Effect Of The Order Would Be To:
- Suspend parking on a phased basis from outside No. 69 Upton Road to outside No. 36 Woolmer Road.
Clifton Gardens EN2
Reason For 14(1) Order – Essential Works
Operational Date And Times: Between 08:00 – 18:00 on 6 October 2026 for 1 day or until works are completed.
The General Effect Of The Order Would Be To:
- Close this road between Nos 19 and 39.
