ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
C16 CROMWELL LANE, BURTON GREEN
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from Hodgetts Lane to Hickory’s Smokehouse.
Reason for Order: Carriageway patching and associated works, 09.30hrs-15.30hrs.
Order Commences: 22 September 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 22 September 2026.
Access & Diversion: Hodgetts Lane, B4101, Tanners Lane, Station Avenue.

Reason for Order: Telegraph renewal works.
Order Commences: 23 September 2026 for up to 18 months.

Access & Diversion: Gordon Street, Farley Street, New Street and vice versa.

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Replacement of decayed telegraph pole.
Order Commences: 23 September 2026 for up to 18 months.

Access & Diversion: Caesar Road, Percy Road, John O’gaunt Road, Fishponds Road and vice versa.

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from a point outside property number 7.
Reason for Order: To enable new gas connection works.
Order Commences: 21 September 2026 for up to 18 months.

Access & Diversion: No available diversion.

D5273 HAMPTON ROAD & C138 OLD SCHOOL LANE, BUDBROOKE
Order Effect: Roads closed to vehicular traffic as follows: Old School Lane closed between its junction with Hampton Road and the A4189 Henley Road – 21 September 2026, Hampton Road closed between its junction with Old School Lane and the A4189 Henley Road – 22 September 2026.
Reason for Order: Installation of speed limit signs, road marking and associated works, 09.30hrs-1530hrs.
Order Commences: 21 September 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 22 September 2026.
Access & Diversion: Old School Lane diversion – Hampton Road, A4189 Henley Road and vice versa. Hampton Road diversion – Old School Lane, A4189 Henley Road and vice versa.

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Scaffolding works to be sited for building repairs.
Order Commences: 21 September 2026 for up to 18 months.

Access & Diversion: D70750 Castle Green, B41030 Clinton Lane, D70750 Castle Green.
Residents access will be maintained either side of the road closure.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
REGENT STREET (LOADING BAYS), LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Stopping and waiting in the loading bays on Regent Street, Leamington Spa between the Parade and Satchwell Court will be prohibited.
Reason for Order: To enable cable laying works.
Order Commences: 5 October 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 6 October 2026.

D4676 GOLF LANE, WHITNASH, LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic as follows: Phase 1 – Whitnash Road to Box Close, 7-8 October 2026. Phase 2 – Box Close to Fieldgate Lane, 9-13 October 2026.
Reason for Order: Installation of traffic calming features and associated works, 0930-1530hrs weekdays only.
Order Commences: 7 October 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 13 October 2026.
Access & Diversion: Phase 1 Diversion: Whitnash Road, Murcott Road, Coppice Road, Morris Drive, Golf Lane and vice versa. Phase 2 Diversion: Fieldgate Lane, Mullard Drive, Box Close and vice versa.

B4455 FOSSE WAY, HUNNINGHAM/EATHORPE
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between its junctions with Long Itchington Road and Barn Lane. In addition a temporary 40 mph speed limit will be imposed from the junction of Long Itchington Road to existing 40 mph speed limit at Princethorpe village name plate (both carriageways).
Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing and associated works, 20.00hrs-06.00hrs weeknights only. Speed limit is for the safety of all road users while the road is open during the day.
Order Commences: 2 October 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 13 October 2026.
Access & Diversion: A423, A425, B4455 Fosse Way and vice versa.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH F04310 MILL BRIDGE (JEPHSON GARDENS), LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic between points
either side of the Mill Bridge
Reason for Order: Bridge maintenance works.
Order Commences: 5 October 2026 for up to 6 months.
Anticipated Completion: 9 October 2026.
Access & Diversion: Newbold Terrace, Victoria Terrace, Priory Terrace, Mill Road, and vice versa.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

(20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
Warwickshire County Council has made the above-named Order, pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 20 mile per hour speed limit on the roads mentioned in the Schedule below. The order commences on 21st September 2026.
A copy of the made Order, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the Main Reception, Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick during usual opening hours, or online at

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
