The East Sussex (C27 Powdermill Lane, Catsfield/ Battle)
(Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2026
To allow The English Heritage Trust to safely facilitate an event, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:
Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit
Powdermill Lane – from the junction with A2100 Lower Lake to the junction with B2204 The Green. The Order commences 8 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the event is completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place between 8 and 12 October 2026.

The East Sussex (C933 Bishops Lane, Robertsbridge)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Bishops Lane – from the junction with C18 Station Road to the junction with C933 Heathfield Gardens. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C933 Heathfield Gardens – C18 George Hill, High Street, Station Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 6 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 and 7 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6551 Sackville Road, Bexhill)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Sackville Road – from the junction with B2098 Terminus Road to the junction with U6550 Western Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2098 Terminus Road, Buckhurst Place – A269 Town Hall Square, Buckhurst Road, Upper Sea Road – B2182 Sea Road, Marina, Sackville roundabout – U6551 Sackville Road and vice versa or via B2098 Terminus Road – U6535 Terminus Avenue – U6536 Westcourt Drive – U6547 Richmond Avenue – U6546 South Cliff – B2182 West Parade, Sackville roundabout – U6551 Sackville Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 5 October 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 5 and 19 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6519 Hawthorn Avenue, Bexhill)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Hawthorn Avenue – for its full extent.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 21 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 and 25 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Menzies Road – from the junction with B2159 Battle Road to the junction with U3065 Theaklen Drive.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3065 Theaklen Drive, Ponswood Road – C664 Sedlescombe Road South – B2159 Battle Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 21 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 and 25 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Shepherd Street – from the junction with U3140 Gensing Road to the junction with A2102 London Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2102 London Road – U3141 Norman Road – U3140 Gensing Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 22 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Church Road – from the junction with U3160 St Margarets Road to the junction with U3158 Edward Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3158 Edward Road – U3159 Magdalen Road – U3160 St Margarets Road and vice versa or via U3157 Church Road – U3158 St Johns Road – U3159 Magdalen Road – U3160 St Margarets Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 21 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 and 25 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which continues temporarily to close the following length of road:
Temporary Road Closure
Sidley Green – from the junction with U6718 Glovers Lane to the junction with A269 Ninfield Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6718 Glovers Lane – A269 Ninfield Road.
The Order commences 22 September 2026 and was made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice dated 10 August 2026 and a Temporary Successive Notice dated 1 September 2026 under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated the closure will be in place between 22 September and 29 October 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3214 All Saints Street/U3211 Courthouse Street, Hastings)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
All Saints Street – from the junction with U3214 Harold Road to the junction with U3212 Rock-A-Nore Road.
Diversion via U3212 Rock-A-Nore Road – A259 East Beach Street, The Bourne – U3214 Harold Road and vice versa.
Courthouse Street – from the junction with U3214 All Saints Street to the junction with A259 The Bourne.
Diversion via A259 The Bourne – U3214 Harold Road, All Saints Street.
To maintain access a suspension of one-way traffic on All Saints Street will be in place (revert to two-way traffic), during this scheme of works.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic set out above.
The Order commences 21 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 September and 16 November 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
