NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Wybunbury Lane, Stapeley
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Wybunbury Lane, Stapeley – From the junction with London Road to the junction with Haymoor Green Road
The alternative route will be via Wybunbury Lane, Main Road, Bridge Street, Wybunbury Road, London Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 7th September 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 18th September 2026.

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
SPEED LIMIT ORDER
(VARIOUS ROADS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2022 (AMENDMENT No. 23) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 82, 84 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act.
The effect of the proposed Order will be to: -
i. Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by introducing the speed restriction as outlined in Schedule 1 below by replacing Map Tile No.s DR115 and DR116 and adding Map Tile No. DR114 in the Consolidation Order schedules.
The restrictions and/or prohibitions imposed by this proposed Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restrictions or requirements imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under the Act or by or under any other enactment.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USERS ON PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO.31 IN THE PARISH OF BRERETON AND PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO.5 IN THE PARISH OF HOLMES CHAPEL
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 3rd April 2027. That length of Public Bridleway No 31 which commences at O.S. grid reference (OSGR) SJ 7958 6654, and runs in a generally north west direction for of approx. 2180 m. to OSGR SJ 7793 6724 and that length of Public Bridleway No. 5 which continues for approx. 920 m in a generally west direction to OSGR SJ 7710 6729.
The closure is necessary to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public from riverbank erosion.
