(GREAT KING STREET) (NO.2) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026 - TEMP/26/142
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate installation of a pedestrian refuge island, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on any part of great King St, from the extended east kerbline of Howe St, eastwards for 38m. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of road described in (b). The alternative route for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closure will be by way of great King St – Howe St, Heriot Row, Dundas St & Great King St. The Order shall have effect from 21/09/26 to 18/10/26.
