(OXFORDSHIRE 7.5 TONNE MAXIMUM GROSS WEIGHT RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO.11) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order – as a result of the construction of the A34 Lodge Hill junction – is to introduce a 7.5 tonne Goods Vehicle Weight Limits on the following roads within Kennington & South Hinksey:
1. A4183 Oxford Road (Kennington) – between its junction with Foxcombe Road/Hinksey Hill, & its roundabout junction with the northern A34 Lodge Hill Junction slip-roads (partly in the parish of Radley),
2. Hinksey Hill (South Hinksey) – between its roundabout junction with the A34 Hinksey Hill Interchange & its junction with Foxcombe Road/A4183 Oxford Road.
Exemptions will apply to the emergency services & utility works, as well as for any vehicle that requires legitimate access including deliveries to any premises or land situated on or adjacent to the stated lengths of road. Prescribed cycles are unaffected.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxfordshire 7.5 Tonne Maximum Gross Weight Restriction) Order 2007 will be further amended as necessary.

(SHELLINGFORD PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the order – as a result of the planned construction of a new access junction to adjacent farmland – is to introduce a new 40mph speed limit on the B4508 Fernham Road at Shellingford, extending northwards for approx.225 metres from the existing village 20mph speed limit (northeast of its junction with Church Street), replacing that length of 60mph National Speed Limit in the process.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Restricted Roads) (Shellingford Parish) (20mph Speed Limits) Order 2023 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

This Order is being introduced because of gas main replacement works which are anticipated to be completed on 4 December 2026. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the section of Buckland Road from its junction with Aston Road (B4449) to Meadow Arch Bridge.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Coming into force: 21 April 2026
This Order was introduced because of improvement works required to the surfaces and managing encroaching vegetation. An ecological report recommends an in-depth survey before works can commence in order to protect habitats (badgers, birds, reptiles, dormice, vegetation, and the area’s proximity to the White Horse and SSSI impact). The effect of the Order is to partially close BOAT Nos.174/12 & 414/1 running north to south between the villages. The restriction is against the use of 4x4 and horse-drawn vehicles only. Pedestrians and cyclists are unaffected (subject to the progress of the work). Exemptions are included for emergency services and for Works. There is no alternative off road route. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when and where the measures are in force. This order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 30 October 2027 or until the works are complete, whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17067/AC)
