What is happening?
EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(Robertland Rigg Road, Stewarton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
On 22 September 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Water Works.
Temporary Road Closure – Robertland Rigg Road, Stewarton From junction of Riverside Road westbound fror 40m.
The Order commences on 06 October 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 06 October 2026 at 08:00 with the closure remaining in place until 11 March 2027 at 17:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.

(Templehill, Troon) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026
On 17 September 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow building repairs.

The Order commences on 07 October 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 07 October 2026 at 08:00 with the restrictions remaining in place until 23 October 2026 at 16:30. Days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

On 17 September 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow Scottish Water Works.
Temporary Road Closure – Scaur O’Doon Road, Ayr - Doonfoot From Junction with Abbots Way to No.2 Scaur O’Doon Road for 40m.
The Order commences on 05 October 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 05 October 2026 at 08:00 with the closure remaining in place until 16 October 2026 at 18:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Access for Emergency Services,residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route.
An alternative route will be signed via Scaur O’Doon Road – Abbots Way – Earls Way – Dunure Road – and vice versa.

(Glenburn Road, Prestwick) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
On 17 September 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow Demolition Works.
Temporary Road Closure – Glenburn Road, Prestwick From junction with Sherwood Road for 65m.
The Order commences on 05 October 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 05 October 2026 at 08:00 with the closure remaining in place until 27 November 2026 at 17:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Access for Emergency Services,residents and deliveries outwith the working zone will be maintained via diversion route.
An alternative route will be signed via Sherwood Road, Shaw Road, Shawfarm Road, Glenburn Road and vice versa.

(U26,U9, Colmonell) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
On 17 September 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow BT Works.
Temporary Road Closure – U26,U9, Colmonell
U26 - From a point 50m west of U9 junction for 350m eastwards U9 - From Junction of U26 for 100m.
The Order commences on 05 October 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 05 October 2026 at 08:00 until 16 October 2026 at 17:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected.
Access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained when possible and safe to do so.

(Earn Road,North Drive, Troon) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026
On 17 September 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow parking restrictions to be implemented to improve visibility at junction.
No Waiting At Any Time - Earn Road,North Drive, Troon
1. From a point of the east extended kerbline of North Drive, on the west side carriageway of Earn Drive running north for a distance of 10.5m
2. From a point of the west extended kerbline of North Drive, on the east side carriageway of Earn Drive running north for a distance of 11.7m
3. From a point of the southwest extended kerbline of Earn Road, on the north side carriageway of North Drive running west for a distance of 12.0m
4. From a point of the southeast extended kerbline of Earn Road, on the north side carriageway of North Drive running east for a distance of 11.1m
The Order commences on 01 October 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 01 October 2026 at 00:00 with the restrictions remaining in place until 01 April 2028 at 00:00. Days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
