(VARIOUS ROADS, BOROUGH OF CHARNWOOD) (AMENDMENT 13) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act,
the effect of which will be:
1. To impose Mandatory School Keep Clear Restrictions at Elmfield Avenue, Birstall and Parkstone Road, Syston and Barrow Road, Burton on the Wolds, to apply Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
2. To impose a Mandatory Disabled Persons Parking Bay on Melton Road, Syston with a limited waiting restriction of 3 hours, no return within 1 hour
3. To extend the maximum permitted waiting time for the Limited Waiting Bays on Cross Green, Rothley outside of The Royal Oak Pub to 2 hours, no return within 1 hour Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm
4. To impose No Waiting at Any Time restrictions at Elmfield Avenue and Fielding Road, Birstall and Martin Drive, Syston
5. To shorten existing No Waiting At Any Time restrictions at Bath Street, Syston
6. To impose No Waiting at Any Time Restriction at Sarson Street and Loughborough Road, Quorn and Ashfield Drive, Groby Road, Park Road and School House Close, Anstey and Peppers Close and Loughborough Road, Mountsorrel
The Order will come into force on the twenty eighth day of September 2026

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
