Ilford - Temporary Road Closure due to Openreach Cabling Recovery & Gully Sucking Works

Somerset Council Parishes of Stocklinch and Ilton Temporary Closure of Ilford Bridges, Ilford Bridges To Bradon Lane and Puckington Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Ilford Bridges - from the junction with Old Way, northwards incorporating Ilford Bridges To Bradon Lane and Puckington Road, to the junction with Main Street. A total distance of 904 metres.

This Order will enable Openreach to carry out heavy cabling recovery and gully sucking works.

The Order becomes effective on 7th October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 14th October 2026 and last until 15th October 2026 between the hours of 20:00 - 06:00 for a total of 1 night.
