What is happening?

(KENDRICK AVENUE, SHARD END) (17166541) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to;
i) prohibit any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath in KENDRICK AVENUE which begins adjacent to number 10 and ends at the junction with Panther Croft.
ii) prohibit any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath in KENDRICK AVENUE which begins in-between numbers 56 and 66 and ends adjacent to number 58.
The temporary Order is required to enable utility works to be carried out in safety.
An alternative route for pedestrians affected by this Order will be signposted as necessary.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on 05/10/26 and will remain in force for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
