New Lane - Temporary Road Closure due to Openreach Cabling Works

Somerset Council Parish of Tatworth and Forton Temporary Closure of New Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: New Lane - from the junction with Crossways, westwards for a total distance of 11 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out cabling works.

The Order becomes effective on 7th October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 14th October 2026 and last until 14th October 2026 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours. There is no alternative route for this closure.
