MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000152577725: The City of Manchester (Rochdale Road,Harpurhey Ward)(Temporary Closure of Bus Lane) Order 2026under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to suspend the operation of the bus lane On Rochdale Road, prohibit any bus, taxi or pedal cycle from proceeding at any time in the following length of bus lane: From Hamerton Road to Collyhurst Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Utility works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 4th October 2026 to 4th October 2026 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30. The order shall come into operation on 4th October 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
