TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING (NUMBER 2) ORDER 2026
The Oldham Borough Council on 15 September 2026 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of King Street, Oldham from its junction with Barn Street to its junction with Union Street.
The alternative route is via Manchester Street and Oldham Way.
The Order is to be made for public safety reasons due to a collapsed building and will be in force for 3 months from 16 September 2026, or until works to make the remaining building structure safe have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
A copy of the Order may be examined at J R Clynes Building, Greaves Street, Oldham between the hours of 8.40am and 5.00pm on Monday to Friday
