THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(SHOWELL ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Showell Road in
both directions, from outside property 12 to outside
Sherwood Aluminium Limited.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 22:00 on 4 October 2026, until 06:00 on
5 October 2026.
The diversion route is: Bushbury Lane.
The Order is required to facilitate bridge examination
works by Network Rail.
