REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC152540752: The City of Manchester (Chorlton Park Resurfacing, Chorlton Park Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Rylstone Ave, Newbrook Ave, Mayhurst Ave, Manor Drive, Macefin Ave, Houghend Ave, Endfield Ave and Whalley Ave.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate resurfacing works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 7th October 2026 to the 11th February 2027.
The order shall come into operation on the 7th October 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
