Castle Hill And Ashton Road, Bredbury - Prohibition Of Waiting At Any Time

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT 

(CASTLE HILL AND ASHTON ROAD, BREDBURY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (REVOCATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 17 September 2026 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which will come into operation on 17 September 2026. 

The effect of the Order will be to introduce No Waiting at Any Time at Castle Hill (West Side) from the intersection of the north western kerbline of its southern junction with Ashton Road for a distance of 202 metres in a north westerly, then north easterly direction. 

Castle Hill (East Side) from the intersection of the north western kerbline of Ashton Road for a distance of 49 metres in a north westerly, then north easterly direction. 

Ashton Road (North West Side) from a point 10 metres south west of the intersection of the western kerbline of Castle Hill for a distance of 44 metres in a north easterly direction. 

A copy of the Order and map may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport. 

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
