THE HIGHLAND COUNCIL (A939 THE SQUARE, GRANTOWN-ON-SPEY – RESURFACING WORKS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) NOTICE 2026

Notice is hereby given that on 21 September 2026 The Highland Council made an Order in terms of Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and titled as above. This Order has been made to allow resurfacing works to be undertaken safely and shall be in operation from Monday 28 September 2026 until Wednesday 7 October 2026. During these periods the use by vehicles on the length of road specified in the schedule hereto except for use by Emergency Services is prohibited.

A copy of the Order can be viewed at the Grantown-on-Spey Service Point, The Square, Grantown-on-Spey PH26 3HF; open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 1pm.

SCHEDULE

Length of Road to be Closed

A939 The Square (North), Grantown-on-Spey: Commencing 45 meters or thereby from its junction with U2821 Seafield Avenue and extending for 90 metres or thereby in a north-easterly direction.
A939 The Square (North), Grantown-on-Spey: Commencing 45 meters or thereby from its junction with U2791 Forest Road and extending for 90 metres or thereby in a north-easterly direction

Traffic management with signed diversions will be in place and emergency access will be maintained at all times.

Please note that although some delays may be experienced, access via the main A939 access through Grantown-on-Spey will be maintained with traffic management at all times; only the side-roads of The Square will be closed.
