Notice of Public Path Order

Highways Act 1980

Leeds City Council (Horsforth Public Footpath No. 50) Diversion Order 2026

The above Order, made on 10 September 2026, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the public footpath commencing from a point, SE 2359 3836, at the junction with the unaffected section of footpath, north-east of house number 123 Hall Park Avenue, and proceeding for a distance of 138 metres to a point, SE 2369 3835, at the junction with the unaffected continuation of the footpath, to the north of property numbers 14 to 22 Church Lane, onto a new line running from a point, SE 2359 3836, at the junction with the unaffected section of footpath, north-east of house number 123 Hall Park Avenue, and proceeding for a distance of 137 metres to a point, SE 2369 3835, at the junction with the unaffected continuation of the footpath, to the north of property numbers 14 to 22 Church Lane, as shown on the Order Map.

Compensation for depreciation of damage for disturbance and arising as a result of the coming into force of the Order is payable under Section 28 (as applied by section 121 (2) of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended by the Transport and Works Act 1992).

Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to Definitive Map Team, Farnley Hall, Hall Lane, Leeds LS12 5HA, or by email to PROW@leeds.gov.uk (Quoting reference 00156681), not later than15 October 2026, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Leeds City Council may themselves confirm the Order as an unopposed Order.  If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.

Definitive Map and Statement (Leeds Metropolitan District)

Leeds City Council (Wetherby Footpath No.46) Modification Order 2026

The above order made on 10 September 2026, under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a bridleway from a Point A, SE 4227 4974, then onwards to a Point B, SE 4283 5005, thence onwards to a Point C, SE 4339 5016 at the Leeds City Council and district boundary with North Yorkshire as shown on the order map.

Leeds City Council Restricted Byway (From Sturton Lane To Aberford Road, Garforth) Definitive Map Modification Order 2026

The above Order made on 16 July 2026, under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a Restricted Byway commencing from SE 4149 3353, at its junction with Sturton Lane, and running in a generally north then north-north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 123 metres to SE 4151 3365, at its junction with Aberford Road as shown on the Order Map.
