Albert Walk, Basingstoke & Deane - Temporary Footpath Closure due to scaffolding works
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
FOOTPATH TO BE CLOSED: that part of Albert Walk between its junction with Winchester Street and its junction with New Road
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Castons Walk
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: The restrictions imposed by this Order are in addition to those imposed under an emergency notice that came into effect on 09/09/2026 and the Order will remain in force for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding it is expected that the closure will be required until 30th September 2026.
The closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Solid Access Scaffolding Ltd to complete scaffolding works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: info@solid-access-scaffolding.co.uk
Solid Access Scaffolding Ltd will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
