Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
A26 Eridge Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow highway repair and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A26 Eridge Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 16th October 2026 for up to 5 nights or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Frant Road to County Boundary, near junction with Broadwater Down, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 Eridge Road, Bunny Lane, A267 Frant Road, A267 Nevill Street, A26 Eridge Road and vice versa.
Bird In Hand Street, Groombridge (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bird In Hand Street, Groombridge, on or after 15th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from property number 6 to the junction with B2110 Groombridge Hill, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Groombridge Road, A264 Ashurst Road, B2110 Groombridge Hill and vice versa.
Brenchley Road, Horsmonden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brenchley Road, Horsmonden, on or after 4th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Shirrenden. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Carriers Road, CranbrooK, TN18 4WB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow desilting and duct clearance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Carriers Road, Cranbrook, on or after 1st October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with High Street for a distance approximately 112 metres to the junction with Jockey Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Carriers Road, Oatfield Drive, A229 Angley Road, High Street and vice versa.
Church Road, Paddock Wood, TN12 6HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow heavy jet and CCTV works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Paddock Wood, on or after 14th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Mile Oak Road to in the vicinity of Rose Cottages, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mile Oak Road, Mascalls Court Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, Station Road, Church Road and vice versa.
North Farm Road, High Brooms, TN2 3AS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of North Farm Road, High Brooms, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the former Auto Bavaria site, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 weekdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Diversion 2 - Upper Grosvenor Road, Meadow Road, Goods Station Road, Victoria Road, Garden Road, Lansdowne Road, Sandrock Road, A264 Pembury Road, Pembury Slip Northbound On and Off, Pembury Slip Northbound On, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Tonbridge Road, Longfield Road, Lamberts Road, Dowding Way, North Farm Road.
Whitewell Lane, Cranbrook, TN17 2PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow essential tree safety works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whitewell Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A262 Goudhurst Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Whitewell Lane, A229 Angley Road, A229 Wilsley Green, A262 Goudhurst Road and vice versa.
Yew Tree Green Road, Horsmonden, TN12 8HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Yew Tree Green Road, Horsmonden, on or after 15th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Furnace Lane for a distance approximately 1450 metres to the junction with B2162 Maidstone Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Maidstone Road, Churn Lane, Pearsons Green Road, Mile Oak Road, Pixot Hill, Crook Road, Yew Tree Green Road, Yew Tree Green Road and vice versa.
