Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
B2052 Stone Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 Stone Road, Broadstairs, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 6, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 Stone Road, B2052 North Foreland Road, B2052 North Foreland Hill, B2052 Joss Gap Road, B2052 Kingsgate Bay Road, B2052 Whiteness Road, B2052 George Hill Road, B2053 Green Lane, B2053 Northdown Hill, B2053 Westover Road, B2053 Beacon Road, B2053 Church Street, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 St Peters Park Road, A255 The Broadway, A255 High Street, B2052 High Street, B2052 Albion Street, B2052 Nelson Place and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bellevue Avenue, Ramsgate, CT11 8PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bellevue Avenue, Ramsgate, on or after 2nd October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 20A, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bellevue Avenue, Bellevue Road, Plains Of Waterloo and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Buckingham Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1LS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Buckingham Road, Broadstairs, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Buckingham Road, John Street, Victoria Parade, Chandos Square, Chandos Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cedric Road, Westgate On Sea, CT8 8LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cedric Road, Westgate On Sea, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Cuthbert Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cuthbert Road, Dent De Lion Road, Westgate Bay Avenue, Cedric Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Chapel Place Lane, Ramsgate, CT11 9RX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Place Lane, Ramsgate, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 25, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chapel Place Lane, Chapel Place, Elms Avenue, Cannon Road, High Street and Chapel Place.

Church Road, Ramsgate, CT11 8QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Ramsgate, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of A255 Boundary Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A255 Boundary Road, King Street, Broad Street and Church Road.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Church Road, Hardres Street and A255 Boundary Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cottington Road, Minster, CT12 5LJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cottington Road, Minster, on or after 29th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside St Augustines Golf Course, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cottington Road, Cottington Link, A299 Sevenscore Roundabout, A299 Hengist Way, Canterbury Road West, A256 Canterbury Road, West, A299 Hengist Way, Sandwich Road, Cliffs End Road, Foads Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Edith Road, Ramsgate, CT11 0ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Edith Road, Ramsgate, on or after 30th September 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Napleton Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Edith Road, Napleton Road, Southwood Road, Grange Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Foads Hill, Ramsgate, CT12 5EE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foads Hill, Ramsgate, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 54 to the junction of Clive Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 16:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foads Hill, Cliffs End Road, Sandwich Road, Lord Of The Manor Roundabout, A256 Canterbury Road West, Canterbury Road West, Foads Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Packers Lane, Ramsgate, CT11 8PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Packers Lane, Ramsgate, on or after 14th October 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the side of number 106 King Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Pegwell Road, Ramsgate, CT11 0NB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pegwell Road, Ramsgate, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Sir Stanley Grey, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pegwell Road, B2054 London Road, A255 Nethercourt Circus, Chilton Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Portland Court, Ramsgate, CT11 8PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Portland Court, Ramsgate, on or after 14th October 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the side of number 142 King Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Quex View Road, Birchington, CT7 0DZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic & parking on part of Quex View Road, Birchington, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
Restrictions will be imposed between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Quex View Road will be closed outside number 13.
Parking will be prohibited outside number 13 on part of Quex View Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Quex View Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Park Avenue, Alexandra Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Seamark Road, Birchington, CT7 0JW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Seamark Road, Birchington, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the rear of Brooksend Service Station, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, A299 St Nicholas Roundabout, A299 Thanet Way, A299 Monkton Roundabout, Seamark Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
St Mildreds Road, Minster, CT12 4BZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Mildreds Road, Minster, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Station Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Various Roads, Ramsgate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Ramsgate, on or after 12th October 2026 until the works have been completed.
Closures are planned in 3 phases as detailed below, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Phase 1 - Works will be carried out from 12th October 2026, with estimated completion by 1st November 2026.
A255 Park Road will be closed from outside number 3 to the junction of Elmstone Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Park Road, A255 High Street, B2014 Newington Road, A254 Margate Road, Shah Place and vice versa.
Gilber Road will be closed at the junction of A255 Park Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gilbert Road, Elmstone Road, A255 Park Road and vice versa.
Phase 2 - Works will be carried out from 2nd November 2026, with estimated completion by 22nd November 2026.
A255 Park Road will be closed between the junctions of Elmstone Road and Queens Gate Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Park Road, A255 High Street, B2014 Newington Road, A254 Margate Road, Shah Place and vice versa.
Elmstone Road will be closed at the junction of A255 Park Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Elmstone Road, A255 Park Road, Gilbert Road, and vice versa.
Phase 3 - Works will be carried out from 23rd November 2026, with estimated completion by 13th December 2026.
A255 Park Road will be closed between the junctions of Queens Gate Road and Grange Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Park Road, A255 High Street, B2014 Newington Road, A254 Margate Road, Shah Place and vice versa.
Wilfred Road will be closed at the junction of A255 Park Road.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Grange Road will be closed at the junction of A255 Park Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grange Road, B2054 London Road, A255 Nethercourt Circus, A255 Nethercourt Hill, A255 High Street, A255 Park Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
