Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A20 London Road, Allington (SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telecoms mast maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of A20 London Road, Allington, on or after 16th October 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.
The cycle lane will be suspended from opposite property number 35 Talbot Road to opposite property number 199 A20 London Road, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
B2015 Maidstone Road, Nettlestead, ME18 5EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new telegraph pole installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2015 Maidstone Road, Nettlestead, on or after 29th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 4, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2015 Maidstone Road, B2015 Bow Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, A228 Seven Mile Lane, A228 Maidstone Road Roundabout, B2015 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
B2162 Collier Street, Collier Street, TN12 9SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility asset works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Collier Street, Collier Street, on or after 17th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Kings Lane to St Margaret’s Church, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

B2163 Plough Wents Road, Chart Sutton, ME17 3LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gully cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Plough Wents Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Brishing Road to the junction with A274 Sutton Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2163 Plough Wents Road, A274 Sutton Road, A229 Loose Road, A229 Linton Road, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Plough Wents Road and vice versa.
Buckland Road, Maidstone (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow a school event to be held, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on part of Buckland Road, Maidstone, on or after 8th October 2026 as detailed below:
Buckland Road will have restricted parking between Buckland Hill and the school gates. Restrictions will be in place:
8th October 2026 between 17:00 and 22:00 only.
13th October 2026 between 17:00 and 22:00 only.
19th November 2026 between 17:00 and 22:00 only.
3rd December 2026 between 17:00 and 22:00 only.
Chapel Lane, Staplehurst. TN12 0AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow broken waterfit replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 29th September 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the side of Bleu Steakhouse, High Street, along Chapel Lane, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Headcorn Road, Ulcombe (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road, Ulcombe, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 90 metres Southwest of Stonehill Farm Stable. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crumps Lane, Stickfast Lane, East Sutton Road, East Sutton Hill, Charlton Lane, Chartway Street, Lenham Road, Ulcombe Hill, The Street, Headcorn Road and vice versa.
Hermitage Lane, Boughton Monchelsea (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hermitage Lane, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 30th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 15 metres from the junction with Wierton Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wierton Hill, East Hall Hill, Hermitage Lane and vice versa.
Sandway, Boughton Malherbe (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandway, Boughton Malherbe, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 15 metres from the junction with Bowley Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandway, Coach Road, Stonebridge Green Road, Field Mill Road, Egerton Road, Church Hill, Lenham Heath Road, Boughton Road, Sandway and vice versa.
Scragged Oak Road, Detling, ME14 3HL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gully cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Scragged Oak Road, Detling, on or after 14th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Pollyfields Manor. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Court Lane, Cox Street, Scragged Oak Road and vice versa.
Westerhill Road, Coxheath, ME17 4BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Westerhill Road, Coxheath, on or after 30th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of outside the track to Westerhill Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Westerhill Road, Bon Fleur Lane, Redwall Lane, East Street, Hunton Hill, Amsbury Road and vice versa.
White Horse Lane, Otham, ME15 8RG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water supply location works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of White Horse Lane, Otham, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Yeolands. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via White Horse Lane, Honey Lane, Simmonds Lane and vice versa.
