Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
A256 Whitfield Bypass, Whitfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A256 Whitfield Bypass, Whitfield, on or after 1st October 2026 until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 400m North of the roundabout with Richmond Way, between the hours of 21:00 and 02:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A258 The Strand, Walmer, CT14 7FD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A258 The Strand, Walmer, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Canada Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Archers Court Road, Whitfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Archers Court Road, Whitfield, on or after 1st October 2026 for up to 5 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Church Whitfield Road for approximately 100m in a Southerly direction, between the hours of 21:00 and 02:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Archers Court Road, Sandwich Road, Waldershare Road, Chapel Lane, Roman Road, Abbey Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Canterbury Road, Lydden, CT16 3DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Canterbury Road, Lydden, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 8 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Canterbury Road, Lydden Hill, A2 Dover Road, A256 Whitfield Road, London Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Chalkpit Lane, Woodnesborough, CT13 0EN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chalkpit Lane, Woodnesborough, on or after 30th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Little Britten, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chalkpit Lane, Barnsole Road, Fleming Road, Drainless Road, Hammill Road, Sandwich Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cranleigh Drive, Whitfield, CT16 3FG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cranleigh Drive, Whitfield, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Alison Crescent for approximately 145m in a Northeasterly direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cranleigh Drive, Archers Court Road, Sandwich Road, Mayfield Road, Alison Crescent and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Enfield Road, Deal, CT14 6QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Enfield Road, Deal, on or after 14th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 10, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Enfield Road, Sandown Road, Bridge Road, College Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Foxborough Hill, Woodnesborough, CT13 0NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foxborough Hill, Woodnesborough, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Tarkwa, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foxborough Hill, Beacon Lane, Drainless Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Northwall Road, Deal, CT14 6PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northwall Road, Deal, on or after 29th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 78, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Oakside Road, Aylesham, CT3 3DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow highway maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oakside Road, Aylesham, on or after 15th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Bevan Way and Vale View Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hill Crescent, Bevan Way, Vale View Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Padbrook Lane, Elmstone, CT3 1HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Padbrook Lane, Elmstone, on or after 28th September 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Littlewick Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Padbrook Lane, Elmstone, Sheerwater Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Ramsgate Road, Sandwich, CT13 9DX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow repair works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Ramsgate Road, Sandwich, on or after 28th September 2026 until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of High Street and Willowbank, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street, New Street, Cattle Market, Harnet Street, Strand Street, Ash Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, Monks Way and Ramsgate Road.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Ramsgate Road, Monks Way, A256 Sandwich Bypass, Strand Street and High Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
School Road, Tilmanstone, CT14 0JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School Road, Tilmanstone, on or after 30th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 80m North of Dane Court Lodge, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Road, Pike Road, Barville Road, Dover Road, Lower Street, St Marys Grove, Upper Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
