HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SUMMERSWOOD LANE, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Summerswood Lane, Borehamwood from its junction with Crossoaks Lane south eastwards to its junction with Buckettsland Lane, a distance of approximately 1168m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Crossoaks Lane, Blanche Lane, Earls Lane, Mimms Lane, Harris Lane, B5378 London Road, London Road, Silver Hill, High Canons, Well End Road, Rowley Lane and Holmshill Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works and tree cutting are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 8 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS FOOTBRIDGES AND PUBLIC FOOTPATH IN RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

1. To prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footbridge (“the Footbridges”):-

a) the footbridge situated above A404 Chorleywood Road, Rickmansworth from a point 20m south west of its junction with Batchworth Public Footpath No.029 south westwards for a distance of approximately 45m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

b) the footbridge situated above A412 Park Road, Rickmansworth from a point 24m south west of its junction with Rickmansworth Park south eastwards for a distance of approximately 26m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. To prohibit all pedestrians from using Batchworth Public Footpath No.029 from a point 92m north west of its junction with Batchworth Public Footpath No.030 north westwards for a distance of approximately 18m (“the Public Footpath”).

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because footbridge refurbishments are proposed to be executed on or near the Footbridges and Public Footpath.

The Order will come into effect from 5 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footbridges and Public Footpath.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bucks Hill, Sarratt from its junction with Bottom Lane north westwards to its junction with Old House Lane, a distance of approximately 186m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Bucks Hill, Toms Hill, Chandlers Lane, Redhall Lane, Sarratt Road, Dimmocks Lane, The Green, Poles Hill, Dunny Lane, The Street, The Common and Bucks Hill.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 5 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TOMS LANE, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Toms Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with Hilltop Road north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Toms Lane, Primrose Hill, Station Road, Gallows Hill, Hamilton Road, Hunton Bridge Hill, South Way, Langley Lane, Tibbs Hill Road, Bedmond Road, High Street and Toms Lane.

The Order is needed because gas works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 5 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 22 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON MUIRFIELD ROAD, SOUTH OXHEY) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Muirfield Road, South Oxhey from its junction with Oxhey Drive south eastwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Northwick Road, a distance of approximately 1284m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Oxhey Drive, B4542 Prestwick Road and Northwick Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 5 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN BUSHEY AND WATFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of A4008 Stephenson Way, Bushey/Watford from its junction with the A41 North Western Avenue/M1 (junction 5) roundabout south westwards, north westwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with A411 Waterfields Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 2430m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (Otterspool Way/Elton Way/Tylers Way), A411 (Elstree Road/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill), A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road) and A411 (Lower High Street/Dalton Way/Waterfields Way) or via A411 (Waterfields Way/Lower High Street/Chalk Hill/London Road/High Street/Sparrows Herne/Elstree Road) and A41 Tylers Way/Elton Way/North Western Avenue).

2. the Colonial Way roundabout, Bushey from its westernmost junction with A4008 Stephenson Way clockwise for its entire length.

An alternative route will be via A4008 Stephenson Way, A41 (Otterspool Way/Elton Way/Tylers Way), A411 (Elstree Road/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill), A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road), A411 (Lower High Street/Dalton Way/Waterfields Way) and A4008 Stephenson Way or via A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 (Waterfields Way/Lower High Street/Chalk Hill/London Road/High Street/Sparrows Herne/Elstree Road), A41 (Tylers Way/Elton Way/North Western Avenue) and A4008 Stephenson Way.

3. the A4008 Stephenson Way link road, Bushey from its northernmost junction with A4008 Stephenson Way south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 459m.

An alternative route will be via A4008 Stephenson Way.

4. the A411 Beechen Grove link road, Watford from its junction with A411 Beechen Grove north eastwards to its junction with A4008 Stephenson Way, a distance of approximately 190m.

An alternative route will be via A411 (Waterfields Way/Lower High Street/Chalk Hill/London Road/High Street/Sparrows Herne/Elstree Road), A41 Tylers Way/Elton Way/North Western Avenue) and A4008 Stephenson Way.

5. the A4008 Stephenson Way link road, Watford from its junction with A4008 Stephenson Way south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with A411 Waterfields Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 169m.

An alternative route will be via A4008 Stephenson Way, A41 (Otterspool Way/Elton Way/Tylers Way), A411 (Elstree Road/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill), A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road), A411 (Lower High Street/Dalton Way/Waterfields Way) and A4008 Stephenson Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect on 6 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 10 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

An alternative route will be via Balmoral Road, A412 St Albans Road, Bushey Mill Lane and Sandringham Road.

The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 24 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Water Lane, Watford from a point 285m north east of its junction with Lower Derby Road north eastwards to its junction with Bushey Hall Road, a distance of approximately 145m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Water Lane, Lower High Street, A411 (Lower High Street/Chalk Hill), B462 Aldenham Road and Bushey Hall Road or via Bushey Hall Road, B462 Aldenham Road, A411 (Chalk Hill/Lower High Street/Dalton Way/Waterfields Way/Beechen Grove) and Water Lane.

The Order is needed because bridge inspection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 22 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

An alternative route will be via Well End Road and Potters Lane.

The Order is needed because cabling works and pole testing are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 21 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (RICHFIELD ROAD, BUSHEY) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Richfield Road, Bushey as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
