GRAVESHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Gravesham Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) in exercise of its powers under Section 32, 34, 35, 39(3) and 124 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and with the consent of the Kent County Council given under section 39 of the Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, hereby proposes to make the following Order:-

Amend Part B of the Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment & Consolidation) Order 2015 to:

• Add new definitions for ‘Gravesend Medical Centre’ and ‘Gravesend Medical Centre Permit’

Amend Part C, Section 11 of the Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment & Consolidation) Order 2015 to:

• Add rules for parking in cashless car parks (Ordnance Road Car Park)

Amend Part D, Section 6 of the Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment & Consolidation) Order 2015 to:

• Add details of the Gravesend Medical Centre permit, issued to Gravesend Medical Centre for use in the Gravesend Medical Centre bays in The Charter Car Park.

Amend Part E, Section 7 of the Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment & Consolidation) Order 2015 to:

• Add restrictions for parking in the Gravesend Medical Centre only bays in The Charter Car Park

Amend Schedules 1, 2 and 3 of the Gravesham Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment & Consolidation) Order 2015 to:

• Add The Charter Car Park into the Order, along with relevant tariffs, charging periods, exemptions and permits.

• Introduce 24-hour maximum stay in Cygnets Leisure Car Park

• Make Ordnance Road Car Park a Cashless Car Park

Copies of the draft Order, the statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be viewed in person, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm at Gravesham Borough Council, Civic Centre, Windmill Street, Gravesend, DA12 1AU or on our website www.gravesham.gov.uk/parking
