On 20th May 2026, North Lincolnshire Council made an Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along Public Footpath 40, off Pasture Rd South, Barton-upon Humber. This Order took effect on 25th May 2026 and will be effective until 24th Nov 2026. Under this same Order, Cadent now propose to undertake further gas replacement works necessitating the closure of this Public Footpath from 7.30am 12th Oct-5pm 12th Dec 2026 (but varied, if necessary, due to any unforeseen circumstances).
The closure of this Footpath is necessary to safeguard the public during these gas replacement works. There isn't a diversion because this Footpath is a no through route.
