TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (OLD CHURCH STREET) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Old Church Street to be closed along the side of 279 King's Road.
The road is to be closed to vehicles for crane works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Saturday 3rd October 2026 until 18.00hrs on Sunday 4th October 2026, with backup dates of Saturday 10th October 2026 until Sunday 11th October 2026.
Diverted through traffic may use King's Road, Beaufort Street, Cheyne Walk, Old Church Street
The One-way working of Old Church Street between King's Road to Petyt Place is to be suspended for the duration of the road closure.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
