Ipswich - Temporary Road Closures & Waiting Restrictions due to Highway Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING ON PART OF THE B1067 BRAMFORD ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1067 Bramford Road, Ipswich from Europa Way to Shafto Road to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1067, the A1214, the A1156, the A14, Sproughton Road, Europa Way and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will also be a prohibition of waiting on the B1067 Bramford Road, Ipswich. There will be no exceptions.
As this road closure is required to permit essential works to the highway, any vehicles that remain in the area affected during the period of the restriction may be removed in accordance with powers available to do so. It is intended that these measures will operate from 30/09/2026 - 09/10/2026 from 7pm - 5am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C494 HADLEIGH ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C494 Hadleigh Road, Ipswich from Collinsons to Larchwood Close to facilitate vegetation clearance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Hadleigh Road, the A1214, the A1071, Hadleigh Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 30/09/2026 from 10am - 3pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
