(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (D48/5 Carfraemill, Lauder) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 21 September 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 25 September 2026 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for BT Openreach works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D48/5 at Carfraemill, Lauder.
The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the D48/5, D47/5, A68, A697 and D48/5 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Roxburgh Street, Kelso) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 21 September 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 25 September 2026. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall:
(a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Roxburgh Street, Kelso from Number 102 Roxburgh Street. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Woodmarket, Rose Lane, East Bowmont Street, Bowmont Street or Roxburgh Street, Winchester Row, Bowmont Street;
(b) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along Winchester Row, Kelso from its junction with Roxburgh Street to the junction with Bowmont Street; and
(c) the One Way Order on Winchester Row, Kelso from junction with Roxburgh Street to the junction with Bowmont Street will be reversed from east to west to west to east from 08:00 on 21 September 2026 until 17:00 on 25 September 2026.
The Scottish Borders Council (Various Streets, Kelso) (Traffic Regulation) Order 2006 (as amended) will be further amended as follows: the One Way Order on Roxburgh Street, Kelso will be rescinded for local access only from Bowmont Street to the point of closure from 08:00 on 21 September 2026 to 17:00 on 25 September 2026.

(A7 SOUTH OF STOW)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (A7 South of Stow) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 28 September 2026 and is expected to remain in effect over night until 30 September 2026 between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 each night. The Order is required for Tree works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A7 south of Stow near Torsonce Wood, Stow. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the A7, A6091, A68, B6458 and A7 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
