What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE NETHER LANE, ASHBOURNE
WHEN: 14 October and15 October 2026
WHERE: Nether Lane, Ashbourne for a distance of 100m west from Jct. with Biggin Lane
REASON: To facilitate BT pole replacement.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Nether Lane, Biggin Lane, Belper Road, Moss Lane, Hoon Well Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
