Monastery Road - Temporary Road Closure due to Water Pipe Works
What is happening?
THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (MONASTREY ROAD) (ROAD CLOSURE) (150/67) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 14th September 2026.
1. The effect of the Order will be to close Monastery Road for its entire length.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for water pipe works.
3. There is no alternative route.
4. The Order will come into force on 21st September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 25th September 2026. Dated: 18th September 2026
