What is happening?

NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY
TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS
AFFECTING: THE VALE, ACTON.
Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 5220 The Vale, Acton - 2026.
Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve Bauer Media carrying out a telecom's kiosk refurbishment.
Effect of order
1. This order will suspend the eastbound bus lane in The Vale from opposite the junction with Du Cros Road to the junction with Larden Road. (132 metres in total) so that all vehicles can use it.
2. The order will ban the right turn exiting Curricle Street.
3. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 19.00hrs on 19th October 2026 ending 05.00hrs 20th October 2026.
4. Whilst the suspension is in force no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load or unload a vehicle in the bus lane area.
5. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
6. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.
7. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.
Date order will come into force.
19th October 2026
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 18th April 2028 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 20th October 2026, whichever is sooner.
