Talkin - Temporary Prohibition of All Traffic due to Utility Works

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U1207 FOREST HEAD, NEAR TALKIN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U1207 Forest Head, near Talkin, from its junction with the access track to the property known as ‘Blacksyke’, extending in an overall north easterly direction for approx. 900 m.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U1207, Talkin and the C1031.

The Order will come into operation on 5 October 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 8 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
