(Colne Road, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colne Road, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Coggeshall Bypass for a distance of approximately 1690m in a north easterly, north westerly, north easterly, north westerly then northerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th October 2026 for 1 night (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2408691 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via A120, A131, A1124, B1024 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 25th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Tilkey Road, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tilkey Road, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 10m north west of its junction with Buxton Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th October 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03164691803 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).
An alternative route is available via Church Street, Church Green, Colne Road, Gurton Road, Westfield Drive and vice versa (with access only into Stoneham Street and Tilkey Road).
The Order will come into effect on 25th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
