The Scottish Borders Council (D83/1 Plora Wood, Innerleithen) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 22 September 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 19 October 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 on weekdays only. The Order is required for Tree felling & timber harvesting.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D83/1 at Plora Wood, Innerleithen.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Northeast on the B709, East on the A72, South on the D80/1 and West on the D83/1 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
