Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS) (BOROUGH OF DARTFORD)

(VARIOUS TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024

(AMENDMENT No.4) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and of all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the Order will be to reduce a section of one-way highway on the following length of road in Dartford:

SUMMERHILL ROAD – (1) Revoke the one way and allow traffic both ways from a point 10 metres north of its junction with Miskin Road to its junction with Trinity Gardens. (2) Revoke the one way and allow traffic both ways from a point 8 metres east of its junction with Trinity Gardens.

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as the Act) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order.

The effect of the order would be to extend the existing 20MPH zone speed limit on the following length of road in Sandwich, Dover:-

SANDOWN ROAD – From a point 30 metres west of its junction with Manwood Road for a distance of 330 metres in an easterly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule

9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to to introduce waiting restrictions, no waiting at any time (double yellow lines) on the following length of road in Lyminge, Folkestone and Hythe:-

BROAD STREET – On both sides from its junction with Harrington Grove for a distance of 43 metres in a northerly and southerly direction.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of this order would be to replace the current National Speed limit with a 30MPH limit on the following length of roads in Lyminge, Folkestone and Hythe:-

BROAD STREET – From a point 10 metres south of its junction with Greenbanks for a distance of 100 metres in a southerly direction.

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2025 (AMENDMENT No.11) ORDER 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act‘), the Traffic Management 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will introduce waiting restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) at any time between numbers 4 and 16 Manston Access Road (at the point of the new roundabout) in Margate, Thanet:-

MANSTON ROAD- DYL – (1) On its west side from the boundary of 3/4 Manston Road for a distance of 17 meters in a southerly direction. (2) On its east side opposite the southern boundary of number 6 Manston Road for a distance of 11 metres in a north and north easterly direction. (3) On its west side 6 metres south of the boundary of 15/16 Manston Road for a distance of 13 metres in a southerly direction. (4) On its east side opposite number 15 Manston Road for a distance of 14 metres in a south easterly direction.

The Order was made on 24 September 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 25 September 2026.

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024

(AMENDMENT No.5) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and of Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to place a one-way traffic restriction on the new access road fronting the properties 4 to 17 Manston Road, Margate, Thanet:-

MANSTON ROAD – From the boundary of 4/5 Manston Road to the boundary of 16/17 Manston Road for vehicles traffic travelling in a southerly direction only.

The Order was made on 24 September 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 25 September 2026.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
