(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of The Square, Aspley Guise outside number 14.

This temporary closure is required to enable stop tap replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 2000hrs on 15 October to 0600hrs on 16 October 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Salford Rd, Crabtree Lane, Cranfield Rd, Station Rd, Aspley Hill, West Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 15 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(HILLS END, EVERSHOLT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hills End, Eversholt between the Old Rectory and number 61.

This temporary closure is required to enable overhead wire transfer work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 14 October 2026 between the hours 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Hills End, C100, Tyrells End and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 14 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 14 to 16 October 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Steppingley Road, A5120, Temple Way, Church Rd and vice versa.

This temporary closure is required to enable S50 Foul connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 16 October 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Road, Lidlington for 20m either side of the level crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable an annual level crossing inspection and re-railing to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 2300hrs on 3 October to 1100hrs on 4 October 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER  2026

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the lengths of:

I.   Footpath No. 12, Houghton Conquest which extends from its junction with Footpath Nos. 9 and A9, Houghton Conquest at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0460 4242 in a generally northerly direction for approximately 404 metres to its junction with Footpath Nos. A9 and A10, Houghton Conquest at OS GR TL 0462 4280.

II.  Footpath No. A9, Houghton Conquest which extends from its junction with Footpath Nos. 12 and A10, Houghton Conquest at OS GR TL 0462 4280 in a generally northeasterly direction for approximately 201 metres to its junction with Footpath No. A9, Houghton Conquest at OS GR TL 0475 4296.

III. Footpath No. A10, Houghton Conquest which extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. A10, Houghton Conquest at OS GR TL 0480 4257 in a generally north-westerly direction for approximately 293 metres to its junction with Footpath Nos. 12 and A9, Houghton Conquest at OS GR TL 0462 4280 then continues in a generally north-westerly direction for approximately 601 metres to its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. A10, Houghton Conquest at OS GR TL 0419 4320.

This temporary closure is required for the continued safe construction of Phase 2 of the Houghton Conquest development. The closure is expected to take place from 24 September 2026 for up to six months.

The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation extends from its junction with Footpath Nos. 9, 12 and A9, Houghton Conquest at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0460 4242 in a generally north-easterly direction for approximately 250 metres to its junction with Footpath No. A10, Houghton Conquest at OS GR TL 0480 4257 then continues in a generally north-easterly direction for approximately 325 metres to OS GR TL 0506 4276 then continues in a generally northnorth-westerly direction for approximately 376 metres to its junction with Footpath No. A9, Houghton Conquest at OS GR TL 0491 4311 then continues in a generally south-westerly direction for approximately 220 metres along an open section of Footpath No. A9, Houghton Conquest to its junction with a closed section of Footpath No. A9, Houghton Conquest at OS GR TL 0475 4296 then continues in a generally north-westerly direction for approximately 598 metres to OS GR TL 0438 4329 then continues in a generally west-south-westerly direction for approximately 215 metres to OS GR TL 0419 4320.
