(C5071 NATLAND AND SUNNY BANK, WINDERMERE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along the following sections of:
(i) C5071 Natland, from its junction with the U5629, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx. 200m.
Alternative Route: via the A65 Burton Road, C5075 and the unrestricted section of the C5071.
Duration: From 5th October 2026 for approx. 5 days/weeks (Ref: TTROW/18222)
(ii) Sunny Bank, Windermere, from its junction with Queens Drive, extending in a north easterly direction for its entire length.
Alternative Route: via Queens Drive and Prince’s Road.
Duration: From 26th October 2026 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTROW/20040)

The Order will come into operation on 5th October 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
