Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
Public Footpath No. 2 which commences at OS grid reference SJ 7578 8491 and runs in a generally south direction for approximately 506 metres to OS grid reference SJ 7576 8463.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger because the condition of a footbridge on or adjacent to the Public Right of Way presents a danger to the public.
The Order continues the restriction that came into force on 22nd August 2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months, or until the works required on or adjacent to the footpath are completed
