What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(VANDYKE ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends

not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Vandyke Road, Leighton Buzzard outside Vandyke School.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 14 October 2026 between the hours 0900-1530 The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Kemsley Drive, Heath Rd, Church St, Leston Rd, A4012, Beaudesert, Vandyke Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 12 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(SHIP ROAD, LINSLADE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Ship Road, Linslade outside number 19.

This temporary closure is required to enable stop tap replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 28 to 30 September 2026 between the hours of 0800-1600 The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure will be via Waterloo Rd, Victoria Rd, Ship Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 28 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(STANBRIDGE ROAD, GREAT BILLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Stanbridge Road, Great Billington outside BS Trailers.

This temporary closure is required to enable ditch clearance work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 28 to 30 September 2026 between the hours 0900-1530 The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via A505, B440, Stanbridge Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 28 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
