What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(TRAFFIC REGULATION: RESTRICTIONS ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING PLACES) (VARIATION NO. *) ORDER 202* - TRO/24/13
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended to: 1. Replace a daytime waiting restriction (which operates Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm) with a resident permit parking place (which operates Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm) on Murieston Rd; 2. Introduce 24hr waiting restrictions on Willowbrae Rd; 3. Replace 24hr waiting restrictions with 24hr waiting restrictions and loading prohibitions, and extend existing 24hr waiting restrictions on Warriston Rd; 4. Replace shared use parking places (which operate Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm) with daytime waiting restrictions (which operate Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm) on Bellevue Rd, Craigleith Hill Cres and Craigleith Hill Ave; 5. Redefine the position of an existing 24hr electric vehicle charging place, a 24hr car club parking place, a resident permit parking place and daytime waiting restrictions (which operate Mon-Sat 8.30am to 6.30pm and Sun 12.30pm to 6.30pm) on Heriot Rw; 6. Replace 9hr shared use parking places with 6hr pay and display parking places on Arboretum Pl; 7. Replace daytime waiting restrictions (which operate Mon-Fri 7.30am to 6.30pm, Sat 8.30am to 6.30pm and Sun 12.30pm to 6.30pm) and loading prohibitions (which operate Mon-Fri 7.30am to 6.30pm and Sat 8.30am to 6.30pm) with 24hr waiting restrictions and loading prohibitions on York Pl; 8. Amend the daytime waiting restrictions which operate MonSat 8.30am to 6.30pm and Sun 12.30pm to 6.30pm, to operate Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm on Belford Rd; 9. Replace daytime waiting restrictions (which operate Mon-Sat 8.30am to 6.30pm and Sun 12.30pm to 6.30pm) with 24hr waiting restrictions on Belford Rd; 10. Replace daytime waiting restrictions (which operate Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm and Sun 12.30pm to 6.30pm) with 24hr waiting restrictions on Belford Rd; 11. Redefine the zone boundary of Zone 1 and Zone 5 at Douglas Gdns; 12. Replace daytime waiting restrictions (which operate Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm) with 24hr waiting restrictions on Abbeyhill and Cumberland Street SE La; 13. Extend an existing resident permit parking place (which operates Mon-Fri 1.30pm to 3.00pm) on Craiglea Dr; and 14. Remove section of a resident permit parking place (which operates Mon-Fri 1.30pm to 3.00pm) on Corrennie Gdns and Comiston Dr. Details of the draft Order and related documents, including our privacy notice, can be viewed online at streets.appyway.com/edinburgh-city, from 11/09/2026 to 02/10/2026 by following the link to “Proposals in consultation” under reference Tro/24/13 or at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk. Documents can also be viewed at Calton Hub, Waverley Court, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG between 9:30am & 3:30pm Mon-Fri during the same period. Objectors must complete the form found via the “Proposals in consultation” link referred to above, or state their reasons in writing quoting reference Tro/24/13 to Traffic Orders at the above address, not later than 02/10/2026. Objections should state the name and address of the objector.
