(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (M26-169)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield in the District of Mansfield.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Ladybrook Lane, Mansfield - From its junction with Browning Street to a point 20 metres east of its junction with Rosemary Street
2. The existing one-way regulation order in the following length of road at Mansfield in the district of Mansfield will be temporarily suspended such that traffic may flow in any direction:
a. Ladybrook Lane, Mansfield - from a point 20 metres east of its junction with Rosemary Street to its junction with Westfield Lane
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 09:30 hours on Sunday 4th October 2026
Until 15:30 hours on Sunday 6th December 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Bancroft Lane - Stockwell Gate - Rosemary Street and Vice versa
The Order will come into force on Sunday 4th October 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out traffic signals refurbishment works;
