MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC152219258: The City of Manchester (Various Streets, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & No Waiting, No Loading) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Ludgate Street & New Mount Street whilst suspending the parking on Angel Street & Simpson Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Naples Street, Ludgate Hill, Old Mount Street, Style Street, Angel Street, Simpson Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate cladding works to adjacent building.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 5th October 2026 to 25th September 2027. The order shall come into operation on 5th October 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
