St Weonards - Temporary Road Closure due to Traffic Calming Improvement Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend,under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: A466 From B4521 To Monkton Road, St Weonards, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A466 From B4521 To Monkton Road, St Weonards, from the junction of Fishpool Lane to the junction of the C1249. Grid Ref:349542/224149.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A466 onto the A40, onto the A4137, onto the A49, onto the A466 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to highway traffic calming improvement works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 28th of September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
