TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it has made an extension Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on a section of an unrecorded public path leading from Whitley Bay mini golf to Whitley Bay beach.
The Order is required on a temporary basis in the interest of public safety due to unsafe access.
The extension of this Order and will come into force on 7 October 2026 until 7 April 2027 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. North Tyneside Council received a direction from the Secretary of State for Transport under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that “THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE, Unrecorded Public Footpath path leading from Whitley Bay mini golf to Whitley Bay beach, Temporary Restriction of Traffic Order 2026” will continue to be in force for the above dates.
